Hannah and I have recently returned from a manic two week trip to Accra. We had lots of meetings and gained the support of one of Ghana's top banks, Stanbic. We also met with our architect, the chief city engineer, the mayor, the local planning department - as well as spending lots of time with the kids, who are as wonderful and inspiring as ever.
The trip was frustrating in many ways, as we were met with bureaucracy and red tape at every stage, but we feel we made quite a lot of progress. Now that wheels have been set in motion, we need to keep the momentum up so that administrative phase of the build can be completed. Then it's just a matter of bricks and mortar!
